Greatest Dangers

Passage: Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:8, Revelation 3:17
Service Type:

Bible Text: Revelation 2:4, Revelation 3:8, Revelation 3:17 | Pastor: Mark Hayes | Series: Seven Dangers | Seven Dangers:

Doing what is right without a right attitude
Fear of Suffering (losing our comforts)
Tolerating evil in the church
My Reputation
Flawed Self-Perception
Too Easily Satisfied

The three dangers we focus on today are 1, 6 and 7

When you focus heavily on being right and doing what is right, it is easy to lose the wonder of God’s mercy and grace.

As a Christian an accurate self-perception is a combination of “ugly” truth and “beautiful” truth.

It is in our broken human nature to focus more on what we can see, hear, touch, taste and smell than on spiritual reality.  The result is that we are so easily distracted from our relationship with God.

 Remedy/Spiritual Renewal:

Remember/wake up / do the first works
Hold fast, be faithful
Depend on God
